Weekend Update:
My big news is that Bryan and I are driving up to Montreal next Wednesday for my immigration interview at the American consulate. This is the final stage of our incredibly frustrating and expensive year-long battle with paperwork so that I can legally live and work in the United States. I am so excited to have this over and done with and to be able to start looking for a job. I keep saying to Bryan- “I’m going to be a real girl!”
We have to stay in Montreal for a week, so that means we get to do fun things like practice our French, stay in hotels, do touristy things, visit museums and go to a Canadiens game. We’re also planning on visiting a friend who lives in Brooklyn on the way back. I love road trips. I’m busy downloading music…you know those “Now That’s What I Call Music” albums? Yeah, I’m getting all the really old ones for hilariousity purposes. We’re going to “Mmmbop” all the way there.
If you’ve ever been to Montreal or happen to live there and have great ideas for fun things we can do, I’d love it if you shared. Any ideas?
