This is so not true. It is encouraging people who do not understand, to SIN! thinking it will draw us closer to God!

Its true God draws us closer and closer. But I think its through obedience, and listening to him. And understanding that that string is always gonna be there if you wanna find him. 

I think I can see what you’re saying…I guess I view it as a sin-deterrent. God keeps drawing me closer and closer even though I am a total screwup? Now that’s amazing grace- I don’t deserve it and it makes me want to be obedient to Him because of His great gift. God loves you no matter what you do. He’s tying knots just as fast as you can cut the string. Do those knots stay in place if you don’t have a true repentant heart? Probably not for very long. And that’s okay, because once you understand grace, once you fully grasp what forgiveness means, THAT knowledge is what draws you closer to Him- not sin.
